An Eclectic Blend of Events in June

If you don’t mind doing a little bit of traveling, Minnesota is full of interesting events in June. Here are some of them.

June 4-8 : The 2014 OUT Twin Cities Film Festival at the Theatres at Mall of America in Bloomington.

June 6-7 : The Nisswas-stamman Scandanavian Folk Music Festival. This 15th annual festival includes food, dancing and children’s activities in the pine woods of the Nisswa Pioneer Village in downtown Nisswa.

June 7-8 : The Minnesota Antiques Dealers Association Antiques Show will take place in the Fine Arts Building at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. Call  651-430-0095 for details.

June 13-15: The 33rd Annual Gammel Dag Fest in Peterson. It is a full weekend of Amish buggy rides, kids train rides, a parade and plenty of folk music. For more info call 507-875-2222 

June 15: Father of the Waters Bike Tour. This is a Father’s Day bike tour that starts at the headwaters of the Mississippi and follows the Mississippi Bike Trail to the first city on the Mississippi, Benidj, For more info call 218-239-0076.
